Box office: Sanju adds Rs6 crore nett in fourth weekend, total stands at Rs324.7 crore

Director Rajkumar Hirani's Sanju is looking to surpass the earnings of Aamir Khan's PK (2014) and Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) to become the second highest nett earner in Hindi cinema.

The Sanjay Dutt biopic, starring Ranbir Kapoor, bagged Rs6 crore nett in its fourth weekend as reported by Boxofficeindia.com. The film experienced a drop of around 70% from its third weekend collections, where it bagged Rs20 crore nett. Sanju has so far made Rs324.78 crore nett in domestic business. The film had released on 29 June.

Made at an estimated budget of Rs100 crore, Sanju had released across 4,000 screens in India. The film is currently running on 325 screens. Sanju is around Rs12 crore nett short of PK, that made Rs337.72 crore nett, while Tiger Zinda Hai closed shop at Rs339 crore nett.

Khan’s Dangal is still way ahead as its earning stands at Rs374.53 crore nett. The dubbed Hindi version of Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) had made Rs510 crore nett.

Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh’s Soorma is not enjoying a great run at the box office. The film managed to earn Rs4.35 crore nett in its second weekend. Soorma has so far made Rs25.75 crore nett in domestic business. Made at an estimated budget of Rs25 crore, Soorma had released across 1,100 screens in India.
