Didn’t know one day I will get to work with Urmila Matondkar, says Shreyas Talpade on Tee Mee Navhech

Urmila Matondkar and Shreyas Talpade have been cast together for the first time in the upcoming Marathi movie Tee Mee Navhech (2023). This is one of the seven films announced by Kaleidoscope Cinema and Pictures Productions and SR Enterprises recently at a grand event in Mumbai. 

While the name of the director of the film is currently kept under wraps, the makers have revealed that it also stars Ninad Kamat in a pivotal role. The film is written by Paritosh Painter, who is also the founder of Kaleidoscope Cinema and Pictures Productions. 

Expressing his happiness to have Matondkar as a co-star, Talpde said, “In those days, Urmila had mesmerized all of us with her song ‘Rangeela Re’ [from Rangeela (1995)]. At that time, I didn’t know that one day I will get to share screen with her. Paritosh has made this possible. Co-incidentally both of us [he and Matondkar] are alumni of Mithibai College. I am very happy to have gotten a chance of working with Urmila. Tee Mee Navhech is a different kind of a film.” 

This is the second Marathi movie for Matondkar as an actress after Ajoba (2014). She presented the Sonali Kulkarni-starrer Madhuri (2018). 

“I liked the script of the film as soon as I heard it,” the actress confirmed. “Therefore, it wasn’t possible to say no to Paritosh. I am happy to work in his film. I am also especially happy to be working in a Marathi film with an actor like Shreyas Talpade.”
