After appearing in Hindi television serials and Marathi movies like Ajintha (2012), Zhalla Bobhata (2017) and 31 Divas (2018), Reena Madhukar, earlier known as Reena Aggarwal, has now made her Marathi TV debut with the show Man Udu Udu Zhala. The family serial went live on Zee Marathi on 30 August.

The actress, whose character's name is Sanika Deshpande, is playing the elder sister to the character essayed by Hruta Durgule, who has made a comeback on the small screen with this show.

Reena said in a statement, “As Man Udu Udu Zhala is my first Marathi serial, I feel I have come back to my roots. I am now meeting the Marathi audience six days a week and I am hoping to be a part of their families. I had heard a lot of good things about the director Mandar Devasthali and I am glad to have got a chance to work with him.”

Speaking about sharing the screen with Durgule, Reena added, “I have seen Hruta Durgule’s work and I am impressed with it. I am enjoying working with her and other artistes. Getting a Zee Marathi show is also a big deal for me because every Marathi family is glued to it. The atmosphere on the sets is so fun and light-hearted that it seems I am working from home.”

Reena has also appeared in the Aamir Khan-starrer Hindi film Talaash (2012) where she played a female cop.
