MX Player’s upcoming Hindi web-series Chhatrasal is based on the Bundela Rajput king Chhatrasal known for waging a war against the Mughal empire in the 17th century at a young age.

But the teaser for Chhatrasal doesn't feature the titular character. Instead, it focuses on an antagonist, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, played by Ashutosh Rana.

The teaser dramatically introduces the character of Aurangzeb, who aims to rule all over India. We are given more than a glimpse of the atrocities committed by him and his men on his poor subjects.

This is followed by the heroic entry of Chhatrasal’s character. Although we are not shown his face, actor Jitin Gulati has confirmed that he is playing Chhatrasal in the show.

Gulati is known for his work in the television serial Prithvi Vallabh, where he played king Tailap. He was also seen in the web-series Broken But Beautiful, Thinkistan and Inside Edge, along with a supporting role in the film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016)

The teaser, however, is dominated by Rana. Whether it comes to showing evil expressions or committing atrocities, he appears to be at his ruthless best.

Directed by Anadii Chaturvedi, the trailer of Chhatrasal will be released on 21 July.
