M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story

This is the story of the journey of the most successful captain of the Indian cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The final of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup between India and Sri Lanka is underway at Mumbai's Wankhede stadium. Dhoni (Sushant Singh Rajput) is watching the match alone on a TV screen in the dressing room; the rest of the team is outside on the balcony engrossed in the game. A wicket falls. The skipper takes up his bat and gloves and heads out on to the ground as the crowd roars its approval. Dhoni has come a long way indeed from his humble beginnings as the son of a steel ministry employee Pan Singh (Anupam Kher) in Ranchi. As the captain walks on to the field, the film takes us back to Dhoni's childhood and youth, the struggles he had to go through at every step of the way, the consistent support he received from his mother, sister (Bhumika Chawla) and friends, and the turning point as he gave up the security of a job with the Indian Railways to pursue his dream of playing for India.
