Freida Pinto, fiancé Cory Tran expecting first child

Pinto's Love Sonia (2018) co-star Mrunal Thakur, casting director Tess Joseph, along with Hollywood stars Kate Bosworth, Hannah Simone, Katie Couric and Oscar-nominee Leslie Odom Jr all wished the happy couple on their news.

The actress and Tran have been dating since 2017, and make their relationship public with an appearance at the US Open tennis championship in September 2018.

Pinto, who shot to fame with the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire (2008), has a number of projects lined up. She is set to play the part of real-life World War II spy Noor Inayat Khan in a limited TV series, Spy Princess. Pinto will also be executive producing the series, which will be directed by Anand Tucker.

The actress is also slated to star in the TV adaptation of Alka Joshi's book The Henna Artist which she is also producing. Pinto is also starring in Mr Malcolm's List with Theo James, Ashley Park, Zawe Ashton, Sope Dirisu, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Emma Holly Jones will make her directorial debut with the period rom-com.
