Days before release date, CBFC still to certify Raveena Tandon’s Maatr

Reportedly, the censor board members walked out of the film’s screening due to its violent and graphic content. Its CEO Anurag Shrivastava denies rumours of a ban and says Maatr is still under review.

Imran played by Farhan Akhtar is seen having a fear of skydiving in the movie but in real life he's a certified skydiver and Arjun played by Hrithik Roshan is a certified scuba diver but his character is afraid of water.

Hrithik said that it was his then wife Sussane who pushed and convinced him to do this film. Hence her name appears in the acknowledgements at the start.

The mayor of the town Alájar, Andalucia features in the song "Senorita".

The La Tomatina festival shown in the movie was re-created in Buñol, Valencia, Spain with almost 16 tons of tomatoes specially flown in from Portugal.
