The London dreams of Omi Khurana (Kunal Kapoor) are in tatters. To escape his debt to a gangster, Omi returns to his homeland. Back at his native village in the Punjab, he pretends to be a successful lawyer. The flashback shows that Omi flew to London after stealing money from his grandfather, 'Daarji'. His grandfather has since become senile and forgotten the secret ingredient for the 'Chicken Khurana' recipe that made the Khurana dhaba famous across the Punjab. Omi meets his childhood sweetheart Harman (Huma Qureshi) who is engaged to his cousin but is unhappy with the match. The Khurana family is full of eccentric characters, including Omi's uncle Titu (Rajesh Sharma) and his grandfather's cousin (Dolly Ahluwalia) who ran away from home at an early age and has become a saint. Omi's 'Daarji' dies paying a final visit to the family dhaba. Omi resolves to restore the dhaba to its former glory with Harman's help. Romance begins to blossom.
