Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani

In 1938, recent medical graduate Dwarkanath Kotnis leaves his hometown Solapur (now in Maharashtra) to be part of a five-member medical team from India to help the Chinese during the second Sino-Japanese war. The biopic follows the valiant doctor in his quest to be of assistance on the important humanitarian mission. During his journey, he meets a Chinese woman, Ching Lan, working on the medical frontline like him, and they fall in love and get married. Dr Kotnis is briefly captured by the Japanese but escapes and goes back to selflessly offer his services to the wounded Chinese forces. He is reunited with his wife and newborn baby but then becomes fatally ill.
