Kacchey Limbu trailer: A young woman tries to find her path in life

Kacchey Limbu (2022), written and directed by Shubham Yogi, is the story of two siblings, Akash (Rajat Barmecha) and Aditi (Radhika Madan). Akash feels his parents are harsher with him and more indulgent with Aditi.

While Aditi seems to worship her brother, Akash is always critical of her choices. In actuality, Aditi is real people-pleaser, and when she decides to take up cricket just like her brother, no one expects her to succeed.

The coming-of-age film looks at how the siblings repair their relationship and find their paths in life. Balancing humour and sibling rivalry, the film is a promising sports drama, even though they have yet to shown Aditi on the cricket field.

Yogi’s debut film is having its world premiere at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) this week as a Gala Presentation.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya, the film also stars Ayush Mehra as Aditi's teammate.
