Disney+ Hotstar's upcoming Hindi web-series Aar Ya Paar (2022) has unveiled its first look via a new video. It stars Aditya Rawal in the lead role, as a contract killer, who also seems to be a saviour of indigenous lands and its people.

Rawal, son of veteran actor Paresh Rawal, was seen in Ranjan Chandel's Zee5 original film Bamfaad (2020) and also stars in Hansal Mehta’s upcoming film Faraaz (2022).

The first look of Aar Ya Paar opens with contract killer Sarju getting a new assignment, which takes him to Romania. We do not get to see the identity of the killer but only see him assembling his equipment, which is a curious choice of a bow and arrow.

On the other hand, we see scenes from forests and tribal people who are hunting down their enemies with bows and arrows as well.

With slick cinematography and imaginatively choreographed action scenes, the trailer makes for a curious watch. The forest scenes allows one to get a sense of the pristine scenery and its people who seem to be under threat. The tribals are faced with guns and retaliate.

The ending of the trailer gives an insight to the series as it says, “When it comes to protecting your own, neither man nor animal stop at anything,” setting the stage for the thriller to unfold.

The show seems to be one that incudes a conflict between the modern world and those who are trying to preserve their traditional way of life. The choice of bows and arrows against the more sophisticated guns in an indication of the same.

The first look was released as part of Disney+ Day celebrations, along with the teasers of Hansal and Jai Mehta’s Lootere (2022), and Bhuvan Bam's Taaza Khabar (2022).

Helmed by Siddharth Sengupta, the series also stars Sumeet Vyas, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Patralekhaa, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Shilpa Shukla. The release date of the series is yet to be announced.

Check out the trailer below and let us know if you are keen on watching the series.
