Filmmakers Pushkar and Gayathri’s Vikram Vedha (2022) is being touted as a film that can bring back audiences to theatres after Brahmastra Part One: Shiva (2022) in year that has otherwise been a damp squib. The Hrithik Roshan-,Saif Ali Khan-starrer is the remake of the Tamil film of the same name released in 2017 by the same director duo.

Now, the makers have shared news that Vikram Vedha is due to be released in over 100 countries worldwide. They have claimed that this is a new record for Hindi films.

“Apart from the major markets like North America, UK, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, the film is set to release in 22 countries across Europe, 27 countries in Africa and also non-traditional countries like Japan, Russia, Israel and Latin American nations such as Panama and Peru,” an official statement from the makers stated.

Dhruv Sinha, head of the film’s overseas distribution, said, “With the star power of lead talent of Vikram Vedha, it has garnered tremendous love and appreciation from the audience and trade alike. Reliance Entertainment Overseas and Home Screen Entertainment teams have ensured the film reaches the widest audience across the globe.”

The movie follows a determined police inspector Vikram (Khan), known for his fake encounters, eager to nab the dreaded criminal Vedha (Hrithik). The policeman crosses paths with the criminal repeatedly in unexpected ways.

Vikram Vedha is due to be released in theatres on 30 September.
