The blood-spattered logo offers a glimpse into the menacing thriller. Kapoor's ominous voiceover states that people search for God, while he is search for a monster. Another indistinguishable voice intones that the now he has been caught in Maarich's territory. The title announcement video hints of a clash between Kapoor's police officer and this unknown culprit.

Speaking about his dual role as actor and producer, Kapoor said, “This film is very close to my heart for multiple reasons. Maarrich is my second film after Laxmii as a producer and I am also going to be reuniting with Naseeruddin Shah saab after a very long time. The film has challenged me as an actor on many levels as it’s very different from the work that I have been associated with earlier, I hope the audiences like this new shade of mine."

The film is presented by Tusshar Entertainment House, in association with NH Studios. Kapoor is joined by Narendra Hirawat, Shreyans Hirawat as producer and Girish Johar and Priyank V Jain as co-producers.

Maarrich is due to be released theatrically on 9 December.
