Tovino Thomas, Soubin Shahir come together for Lal Jr’s next, Nadikar Thilakam

Mythri Movie Makers, the production company which has produced several popular films including the recent blockbuster Pushpa - The Rise Part 1 (2021)  is stepping into Malayalam industry through the film Nadikar Thilakam (2022), starring Tovino Thomas and Soubin Shahir in the lead.

The film will be directed by Lal Jr, which is the stage name of Jean Paul Lal, the son of famous actor-director from Malayalam cinema, Lal.

Lal Jr made his feature directorial debut with the Malayalam comedy Honey Bee (2013), as well as the hit film Driving Licence (2019), starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu.

Nadikar Thilakam is produced by Mythri Movie Maker's Y Naveen and Y Ravi Shankar, in association with Godspeed, spearheaded by Allan Antony and Anoop Venugopal. Described as being a commercial entertainer, the script is by Suvin Somashekharan. Stunt duo Anbariv have been roped in for the fight sequences.

Tovino shared a sneak peek into the film and revealed that he plays the character of superstar David Padikkal. He also shared some behind the scenes footage which shows the film’s technical team hard at work.

Soubin Shahir too shared a behind-the-scenes video, where he revealed that he plays the character named Bala. His video too highlights the film's team, concentrating more on the make-up, costumes and other departments.

Amongst the other crew members, Alby Antony, who shot Kaanekkane (2021), is the cinematographer and Ratheesh Raj is the editor. Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha S Nair are the music directors and Prashanth Madhav is the art director.

Nitin Michael is the chief associate.The costume department is handled by Praveen Varma and make-up is by RG Wayanad.

Bhoopathy is doing the choreography and Arun Varma is the sound designer. Heston Lino is doing the publicity designs. Sangeetha Janachandran is handling marketing and communications under the banner of Stories Social.
