Yashoda teaser 2: Samantha plays a pregnant woman who fights for her survival

Hari-Harish’s Yashoda (2022) features Samantha as a pregnant woman who is captured and must fight for her survival.

The sci-fi thriller opens with Yashoda receiving news of her pregnancy from a doctor. She is advised to take care in the next three months. The doctor asks her to rest and sleep well, not lift heavy items or take any stress.

Each time the doctor tells her the steps she should adhere to in her pregnancy, the teaser intercuts Samantha doing the exact opposite and getting injured repeated as she is trapped in some kind of underground facility.

With a soundtrack by Mani Sharma, the film looks tense and action packed. It has been filmed in Tamil and Telugu, and is due to be released in Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada as well.

Yashoda also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, and Priyanka Sharma.

The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
