Dharamshala International Film Festival to be held in hybrid format


The event will have physical screenings in McLeod Ganj and be held from 3 to 6 November.

The organizers of the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) have announced the dates for the 11th edition of the event.

It will be held from 3 to 6 November 2022 as a hybrid festival with physical screenings in McLeod Ganj and an online programme for those who may not be able to travel for the festival.

A statement by the organizers read, “We are excited to return to a physical festival and look forward to having our community of friends, filmmakers, film lovers and supporters with us once again.” Due to the pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 editions of the festival were held online. DIFF also announced that they are accepting submissions for the upcoming edition.

Meanwhile, DIFF had also launched a Virtual Viewing Room, which is currently featuring a programme titled ‘A Small Atlas of Chinese Independent Documentaries’.

Programmed by filmmaker and curator Zhu Rikun, the films are available to audiences worldwide for free till 8 May.
