Hoichoi has announced Srijit Mukherji's upcoming web-series Feludar Goyendagiri, with a nostalgia-inducing video.

Starring Tota Roy Chowdhury as the Bengali sleuth, Feludar Goyendagiri is based on Satyajit Ray’s story Darjeeling Jomjomat. Actors Kalpan Mitra and Anirban Chakrabarti will play Topse and Jatayu, Feluda’s two constant companions

Feluda Pherot, Mukherji’s first take on the iconic detective — starring all three actors, was released on the Addatimes platform in 2020.

In the video released by Hoichoi, Lalmohan Ganguly aka Jatayu takes both Feluda and Topse for a surprise trip to the iconic eateries of Kolkata before breaking the news that they are going to Darjeeling.

According to a report by Glamsham.com, an online entertainment news portal, Mukherji, said, “Feluda is an emotion for every Bengali. It has been an integral part of our culture and it makes me happy to see Feluda returning in every new format over the decades, which itself asserts the significance of this masterpiece.”

Speaking of his experience of shooting the series, Mukherji revealed, “While shooting in Darjeeling, it felt like we were living the story and that was a phenomenal feeling. Thanking everyone who’s contributed to making Feludar Goyendagiri a special series.”

Feludar Goyendagiri will be streamed on Hoichoi in June.
