Mandaar, Mohanagar emerge big winners at Hoichoi Awards 2021

The Bengali web-series Mandaar and the Bangladeshi series Mohanagar emerged big winners at the Hoichoi Awards 2021. This is the second time Hoichoi is recognizing winners in different categories for series and films that were streamed on the platform.

Actor Anirban Bhattacharya's debut directorial venture Mandaar won the Most Watched Indian Series award while Ashfaque Nipun’s Mohanagar, starring Mosharraf Karim, won the award for Most Watched Bangladeshi Series. Bhattacharya and Nipun won the award for Best Director from India and Bangladesh, respectively.

Aritra Mukherjee’s debut film Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti (2020), starring Ritabhari Chakraborty, won the award for Most Watched Film on Hoichoi.

Srijit Mukherji’s Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni, Anjan Dutt’s Murder In The Hills and Sayantan Ghosal’s Indu won awards for Most Loved Series from India.

Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury won the award for Breakthrough Performance of the Year for his role in the series Taqdeer (2020) and Boli (2021).
