As movie buffs, we are at a place where there is no dearth of content across languages and platforms. In a scenario like this, when you come across a trailer that not only leaves you intrigued, but also smiling, it is bound to stay with you. That’s what the trailer for Fairy Folk (2023) does.

Rasika Dugal (Ritika) and Mukul Chadda (Mohit) are a couple and the latter orders an unclothed species which seems to be a robot and behaves like one to feed Ritika. The couple is later seen discussing the species. It’s a conversation that will draw you in and immerse you.

While their casual conversation is the highlight of the trailer, it also leaves one curious to know more about the film and this creature. The trailer ends with Ritika asking Mohit, “Are you becoming loony?” And that, perhaps, is the question that will arise in the viewer's mind as well, because rarely does one come across a bizarre yet interesting trailer like this.

Where would the relationship of Ritika and Mohit go from here? How would this genderless being affect their life and love? The story is touted to explore gender, millennial love and lots more.

The movie is set to have its world premiere at the Sydney Film Festival next month. It will be screened on 12 June and again on 15 June. Netizens already seem to be excited for it as several people commented on Chadda’s post on Instagram and showered love.

The film, written and directed by Karan Gour, also stars Nakuul Mehta and Alekh Sangal. With such an interesting cast and crew, Fairy Folk does look quite promising. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch this film.
