SVF Entertainment shared photos from the mahurat of two of its upcoming projects — Karna Subarne’r Guptodhon and Arindam Sil’s untitled Byomkesh film — on Twitter today.

The third film in Dhrubo Banerjee’s treasure hunt franchise, Karna Subarne’r Guptodhon will see Abir Chatterjee, Ishaa Saha and Arjun Chakraborty reprising their respective characters Sona Da, Jhinuk and Abir from the previous films Guptodhoner Sondhane (2018) and Durgeshgorer Guptodhon (2019).

Chatterjee will also play the Bengali sleuth in Sil's upcoming untitled Byomkesh film, based on Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's unfinished story Bishupal Bodh, which the director has completed with screenwriter Padmanabha Dasgupta.

Guptodhoner Sondhane and Durgeshgorer Guptodhon were set in West Bengal’s Monikantopur and Durgeshgor regions. The storyline of Karna Subarne’r Guptodhon has not been revealed yet. However, in a statement, the director stated that the story would unfold on a large scale.

Sil's Byomkesh film, which was preceded by Har Har Byomkesh (2015), Byomkesh Parbo (2016) and Byomkesh Gowtro (2018), is a story of vengeance. Set during the Maoist uprising in Bengal in 1971, the film sees Byomkesh witnessing a crime unfolding on stage. As he digs deeper, a tale of love, betrayal and infidelity unfolds.

Actress Sohini Sarkar will essay Byomkesh's wife Satyabati in the film while Suhotra Mukhopadhyay will replace Rahul Banerjee as Byomkesh’s sidekick Ajit.

Karna Subarne’r Guptodhon will be released in theatres on 30 September. The release date of the Byomkesh film hasn’t been announced yet.
