Etharkkum Thunindhavan trailer: Suriya plays a violent vigilante

Directed by Pandiraj, the action film is tipped to touch upon the shocking 2019 Pollachi sexual assault incident.

The trailer of Suriya’s upcoming Tamil film Etharkkum Thunindhavan (ET), which will be released in cinemas on 10 March, is tipped to be a revenge-based thriller.

The film sees Jai Bhim (2021) star Suriya play a vigilante. The trailer even features a line where Suriya says when he wears the black robe, he’s a lawyer in front of a judge but when he wears his dhoti, he’s the judge.

Directed by Pandiraj, ET is tipped to be a film that touches upon the shocking 2019 Pollachi sexual assault incident and how a brother of a victim pursues vengeance.

Going by the trailer, the film will be high on action and the story seems to unfold both against a rural as well as city backdrop. 

The film could also be controversial in the way it portrays women.

The film also stars Vinay, Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan and Priyanka Arul Mohan.
