Kunal Kemmu will reprise his role as the daring and fierce cop Abhay Pratap Singh in the third season of Zee5's crime thriller show Abhay.

Just like the previous two seasons, Abhay is on the hunt for a serial killer. His latest adversary, however, leaves behind the infinity symbol at every crime scene.

Along with Asha Negi and Nidhi Singh, who appeared in previous seasons, there are some new faces in the trailer. Vijay Raaz plays the twisted and mysterious Dr Anant Sinha, who is the head psychiatrist of the city asylum and also a cult leader. He seems to have planned something sinister and it's up to Abhay to stop him. There is also Rahul Dev’s character, Avatar, who is a fearless sharpshooter. Another two new additions Tanuj Virwani and Divya Agarwal play social media influencers Kabir and Harleen.

The trailer looks intriguing and gives a fair idea about the gory content of the show.

Speaking about the third season Kemmu said, "The stakes are higher in Abhay (Season 3) as the crimes get darker and more sinister and Abhay is at a crossroad as his professional and personal life get intertwined. This season charters into new territory both for the audiences and Abhay. Add to that, the exciting new cast members. I’m nervous and excited to present this season to the fans of the show and to the new audience that it finds (sic)."

Vijay Raaz said, “Abhay S3 is dark, twisted and unlike anything viewers have seen before. Ken has created a gripping alternate universe and all of us are glad to be a part of it. Abhay has taken the genre of crime thrillers up a notch, and it will be exciting to see what is brewing in this season."

Directed by Ken Ghosh, Abhay (Season 3) will be premiered on Zee5 on 8 April.
