Amruta Subhash is a well-known Marathi actress who has done some quality work in the Hindi arena, including Raman Raghav 2.0 (2016), Sacred Games, Gully Boy (2019), Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai (2020) and Dhamaka (2019). 

But with Zee5’s web-series Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt Ltd, she has got a chance to play the main lead in a Hindi project for the first time. 

Contrary to the title, this six-episode show is not a saas-bahu saga. The story, which takes place in old Delhi, revolves around a housewife Suman (Amruta) who goes through the process of divorcing her husband Dilip (Anup Soni), who wants to marry another woman Manisha (Anjana Sukhani). Suman wants custody of their kids but the husband opposes it since she isn’t earning anything. 

Suman vows to earn enough money in the next year. As she is not educated, she gets into the pickling business. But the road ahead is laced with obstacles. Suman gets timely help from an aged woman, played by Yamini Das. 

The trailer of Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt Ltd indicates that the show has an interesting and moving storyline. The manner of the narrative also looks impressive and full of feeling. Amruta Subhash’s performance makes the viewer feel for her. Anup Soni appears to be the right fit for this role. 

The show is a production of TVF (The Viral Fever), which is known for its heart-warming content.

Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, Saas Bahu Achaar Pvt Ltd will be streamed on Zee5 from 8 July.
