Rahool Mukherjee’s upcoming film Kishmish, starring Dev Adhikari and Rukmini Maitra, will be released in theatres on 29 April.

The announcement was made via a poster, which features the lead actors in two avatars. Kishmish features Kharaj Mukherjee, Kamaleswar Mukherjee and Anjana Basu.

Kishmish is set in three timelines — the 1980s, 2014 and a futuristic post-pandemic era. In the poster, Adhikari and Maitra, who happen to be real-life couple, are presented as lovers from cinema’s golden age with the actor sporting a moustache, typical of the bhadralok of yesteryear, while Maitra is clad in a salwar kameez and sports a braid. They are also seen in a modern avatar on a bicycle.

The film was initially supposed to release in winter last year.

Another project starring Adhikari, Kacher Manush, which also features Prosenjit Chatterjee, is slated to be released during Durga Puja. The actor will also start shooting for Dhrubo Banerjee’s Raghu Dakat.
