Ananta trailer: A visually poetic drama starring Ritwick Chakraborty and Sohini Sarkar

Directed by Abhinandan Dutta, the film will be screened at the 27th Kolkata International Film Festival.

The trailer of Abhinandan Dutta’s upcoming film Ananta attempts to poetically establish the significance of its title. As lead actor Ritwick Chakraborty utters, “Waiting, waiting for time”, a collage of the unhurried vaguely romantic visuals are seen.

The trailer reveals nothing about the storyline. In the beginning, Chakraborty can be seen looking at a train passing by through a window. He then feels the warmth of sunshine, and Sohini Sarkar's character is then depicted experiencing a moment of bliss.

Accompanied by a soothing background score, the visuals are stunning compositions with natural light. Chakraborty and Sarkar pass each other by with a lot of hesitation in a narrow lane that is flooded with yellow light. It becomes evident that the film is about these two extremely relatable characters who seem to be only acquaintances in the trailer but are patiently waiting for the time when they will grow closer.

Ananta will be screened at the 27th Kolkata International Film Festival, which is being held from 27 to 29 April.
