Beginning yesterday, the Dharamshala International Film Festival is curating six Chinese independent documentaries online in its Virtual Viewing Room till 1 May.

Programmed by filmmaker and curator Zhu Rikun, these include Wang Chuyu's Ants Dynamics (2020), Li Yifan's Chronicle Of Longwang (2007), Wen Hui's Listening To Third Grandmother's Stories (2011), Ma Zhandong's One Day In May (2011), Zhao Dayong's One Says No (2020), and Cui Zi’en's We Are The... Of Communism (2007).

Speaking about these six curated features, Zhu said, “This selection may be contradictory because it is aimed at a less predictable audience. In the end the hope is to provide a small degree of choice, before losing it totally."

The six films are available free worldwide. The Dharamshala festival celebrated its tenth edition last year in November.
