The second song from the upcoming film Heropanti 2 (2022) ‘Jalwanuma’ — like its predecessor 'DaFa Kar' — is grand visual production that places the two leads, Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria, in the midst of a large group of dancers.

The song seems to take place after a funeral and the characters played by Shroff and Sutaria express their ardour for another. The lyrics by Mehboob emphasize their connection.

The duet is sung by Pooja Tiwari and Javed Ali and composer AR Rahman bolsters this angsty track with Indian percussion instruments, the tabla and the dholak. However, the introductory melody feels awfully familiar; Rahman seems to have borrowed some notes from an earlier hit.

The visual presention has little colour and is choreographed on a set. The stars perform well, but there appears to be little chemistry between them in light of the lyrics of 'Jalwanuma'

The sequel, directed by Ahmed Khan, also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as the antagonist. Heropanti 2, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is due to be released on 29 April, opposite Ajay Devgan's Runway 34 (2022).
