Southern artistes such as R Madhavan, Dulquer Salmaan, Atharvaa Murali, Vikram Prabhu and Suhasini Maniratnam have joined hands to spread awareness about the pandemic via a video that has been made in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Madras.
Suhasini took to Instagram to share the video in which the celebrities speak about fighting the coronavirus by socially distancing and following all the necessary safety measures.
The artistes also urged everybody above the age of 18 to get vaccinated as it is the only way herd immunity can be brought about.
In the clip, Suhasini explained why everyone must come together in these difficult times. As COVID-19 is spreading rapidly, we need self-control and even a small slip can spell a disaster, she said.
Madhavan is seen telling people that wearing masks, washing hands and following social distancing norms are important and a must.
Dulquer Salman reiterated the points made by Suhasini and Madhavan.
Stating that only the vaccine can help us fight the menace, Suhasini said that every citizen should get the jab.
Actors such as Radhika Sarathkumar, Nassar and Arvind Swami also make brief appearances in the video.
