Hoichoi announces first slate of content for 2021

On its third birth anniversary last September, streaming service Hoichoi announced a line-up of 25 original web-series and two films.

The platform recently launched a video revealing the names of nine new original web-series as well as the new seasons of existing shows and original films that are going to be streamed as its first slate of content for 2021.

While Srijit Mukherji’s Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Asen Ni and Soham Chakraborty and Srabanti Chatterjee’s first web foray Dujone have generated much anticipation, viewers are also looking forward to Maradonar Juto, Murder in the Hills, Mouchaak, Mohanogor, Mandaar, Mohomaya and Srikanto.

Also, there will be news seasons of Shei Je Holud Pakhi, Paap, Eken Babu and Byomkesh.

The largest Bengali content streaming platform will also be hosting the world premiere of the films Tyangra Blues, Kakababur Protyaborton, Psycho and Golondaaj.

The co-founder of Hoichoi, Vishnu Mohta, said the platform aims to bring distinct stories to its diverse audiences. "Our upcoming line-up is a reflection of that idea; each one of which is a gripping story of human emotions, filled with suspense, comedy, love, drama, thrill and longing. Every season we try to reinvent ourselves, with content from the brightest and newest creators of the region,” he said.
