The makers of Priyadarshan’s Hungama 2 have revealed that the film will be released directly on the over-the-top (OTT) platform Disney+ Hotstar on 23 July.
While Hungama (2003) starred Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal, only the latter has been retained for the sequel.
The makers had earlier announced that the film will also star Meezaan Jaaferi, Shilpa Shetty and Pranitha Subhash.
The film's poster depicts veteran actors Johnny Lever, Ashutosh Rana and Rajpal Yadav, who tend to feature in Priyadarshan’s films.
Hungama 2 has four child actors playing pivotal characters. Last year, Priyadarshan was keen to complete the shoot soon as he feared they might grow up soon, affecting the film’s continuity.
