The makers of Kargil War hero Vikram Batra's biopic, Shershaah, have put out the first song from the movie. In contrast to the hard-hitting and stirring trailer, which was recently released, the soft romantic track focuses on the tender moments shared by Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani's on-screen personas.

The song 'Raataan Lambiyan' begins with Malhotra as Batra reminiscing about the time he spent with his lady love (Advani). The video depicts the lovers' college days. From having discreet conversations on the telephone, cosying up in the theatre and riding together on a motorcycle, the couple finds joy in simple things.

Though there isn't anything special about this Tanishk Bagchi composition that will make you instantly add it to your playlist, it still serves its purpose. Bagchi's lyrics also gel well with the composition. But it's Jubin Nautiyal and Asees Kaur's soulful rendition that elevates the song. Both singers complement each other beautifully.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Shershaah has been helmed by Vishnuvardhan. The film will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video from 12 August.
