The title track of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s upcoming sports drama Toofaan, which stars Farhan Akhtar as a boxer, Aziz Ali, conveys how grit and unwavering determination can help one overcome failure and eventually achieve one's goal. The song has been composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy while the lyrics have been written by Javed Akhtar.

The video of the song begins with visuals of Ali tasting defeat in a boxing match, with the commentators declaring that his chances of fighting at the national level are slim. However, the undeterred Ali doesn’t allow the storm that rages within him to fizzle out. Rather, he maintains focus and decides to channel his rage.

His perseverance ultimately pays off, and confidence emerges.

The intensity and tempo of the song, which has been sung by Siddharth Mahadevan, steadily increases as Ali gets his act together. The rousing composition does justice to the inspirational lyrics, which basically state that it is better to channel your inner storm than get swept away by it.

Toofaan is slated for release on 16 July on Amazon Prime Video. Check out the song and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
