Veteran film journalist Rajeev Masand joins Dharma Cornerstone Agency

Masand has joined the new talent management firm as the chief operating officer (COO).

Veteran film journalist Rajeev Masand has joined Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Cornerstone’s venture Dharma Cornerstone Agency as chief operating officer (COO).

Elaborating on Masand’s role in the firm, an official statement from Dharma Productions said, 'Masand will now be responsible for driving greater management stability with a stronger focus on development at the talent management agency through various avenues for each individual.'

Sharing the team's happiness about Masand coming on board, the statement added, 'Masand’s thriving establishment in the industry and commendable professional experience over the years will leverage strategic thinking and impressive knowledge with a creative bend in the day-to-day operations of the agency. Harvesting quick decision-making and profitable partnerships amongst stakeholders and individuals, Masand’s position is set to align with the agency’s vision and values to elevate its progress and success in the industry.'

Masand has over two decades of experience in film journalism. He started off as a reporter with The Times of India newspaper in Mumbai. He then went on to write for other noted publications like The Indian Express newspaper. 

With the boom in electronic journalism, he switched to television news channels STAR News and CNN-IBN, which later became CNN News 18. Masand is known for his Hindi and Hollywood film reviews and his interviews with top names from the film industry.
