The Akshay Kumar-led espionage thriller Bell Bottom will be released in theatres on 28 May.

Shooting for the film, which was directed by Ranjit M Tewari, wrapped up in the United Kingdom in September 2020.

Announced in January 2020, the film was scheduled to arrive in theatres on 2 April 2021. However, the ensuing lockdown delayed shooting as well as the post-production process. Despite being shot during the lockdown, the action film is hitting the screens a month later than its planned theatrical release date.

Speaking about his experience shooting for the film, Akshay Kumar had said, "The new normal has made us realize a different way of working that none of us could have imagined. I hope this encourages film industries globally to do what they do best and start entertaining audiences again. I hope our shoot during the pandemic reassures others that keeping all safety in mind it’s time to get things moving again."

The makers released the first teaser for the film back in October 2020. The film is being produced by Jackky Bhagnani's Pooja Entertainment and Nikkhil Advani's Emmay Entertainment.
