Coronavirus update: After Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora tests positive for COVID-19

The actress, whose medical reports were leaked yesterday, revealed she is asymptomatic and in quarantine at home.

Malaika Arora announced that she has tested positive for COVID-19. The actress also revealed that she is asymptomatic and will be in quarantine at home.

The 46-year-old actress took to her Instagram handle on Monday morning and released an official statement, saying, "Today I have tested positive for coronavirus but I want to inform you all that I am feeling fine. I am asymptomatic and following all the required protocols and will be quarantined at home as instructed by my doctor and authorities. I request all of you to stay calm and safe. Thank you for all your support. Much love."

Arora's medical reports were leaked yesterday leading to many publications reporting the news before she was even ready to share it. Her sister Amrita Arora slammed the media for disregarding doctor-patient confidentiality. "The question is how did her reports get out in the 1st place? How was it ok to disregard doc/ patient confidentiality. Let's just respect what's happening in the world today and stop this ridiculous naming and think your shaming syndrome! STOP!" she posted on her Instagram stories. 

Earlier on Sunday, Malaika's rumoured boyfriend, actor Arjun Kapoor issued a statement  saying he had tested positive for COVID-19. 

The actress is one of the judges on the TV reality show, India's Best Dancer, along with choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis. The shoot was recently suspended after for two days after Malaika's announcement, and reportedly, a few unit members were said to have tested positive for COVID-19.
