Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi wrap up Bunty Aur Babli 2 with fun song

The cast of Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2020), featuring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji, Siddhant Chaturvedi and newcomer Sharvari Wagh, has wrapped up the film by shooting a fun song.

The team, led by first-time director Varun V Sharma, shot the song sequence while adhering to all safety precautions as requested by the government.

"These are highly sensitive times and actors, producers and crew will have to be extra cautious because there is a risk element,” Khan said. “I was amazed by the steps taken to ensure that we have the best shooting experience. It felt safer than at home.”

"These are precarious times and we have to follow the strictest health mandates so that the industry restarts,” Sharma said. “I'm thankful that it all went well because this will give confidence to the entire film industry to return to shoot."

Mukerji, the only original cast member to return from Bunty Aur Babli (2005), was reminded of filming before the pandemic struck. “We had an amazing time shooting with each other. It brought back so many memories of us shooting before the pandemic and the entire team brought it all to the dance floor," she said.

The sequel introduces Chaturvedi and Wagh as new-age con artists who bring the old team out of retirement.

“We had such a fun shooting experience before the pandemic and then we couldn’t shoot or meet each other. I’m glad that we could have a safe, fun shoot,” Chaturvedi said of reuniting for the song sequence.

Wagh, who makes her film debut with the project, said, "As luck would have it, we had to wrap by shooting a fun song sequence and there was no better way to meet the entire team again and bring the house down with a lot of positivity, joy, and madness."
