Actor Namit Das has stepped up to help raise awareness of men's health problems which generally go unnoticed or are not part of public discourse.

The actor will lend his voice to the men's health awareness campaign organized by Tongues On Fire Ltd (TOF) and the UK Asian Film Festival (UKAFF).

TOF and UKAFF have jointly started a counselling service called Talking Therapy. The service consists of six free and confidential therapy sessions on the phone with a trained counsellor. Callers are also provided information on the next steps and support groups available to them.

The actor highlighted the importance of addressing mental health issues and seeking professional help. Speaking of the counselling service, he said, “The pandemic has had an adverse impact on artistes and freelances. I'm relieved that a counselling service has been set up for South Asian artistes based in the UK. A huge thanks to TOF and UKAFF for this brilliant initiative.”

Namit Das was last seen in Zee5's web-series Mafia. He has been part of the Hindi film industry for more than a decade but only came into the limelight with this year's surprise hit show Aarya starring Sushmita Sen.
