The other film that the producer is planning to turn into a franchise is Akiv Ali's De De Pyaar De (2019). The film, featuring Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and Tabu, earned more than Rs90 crore in its run at the box office. Speaking about the film, Kumar said, "Yes, Luv Ranjan and I have a sequel in mind for De De Pyaar De."
Currently, the industry's work has been halted by the imposed lockdown to prevent the spread of the coronavirus infection. The lockdown is in place till 17 May.
