IMPPA submits guidelines to resume shoots, list of unfinished projects to CM Uddhav Thackeray

The Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has once again requested Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray to allow the resumption of film, television and web-series shoots in the state.

To make their case more convincing, the IMPPA has submitted a detailed plan on safety measures production houses would be required to take once shooting is allowed to resume.

The producers' association has submitted more than 50 guidelines that production houses would have to be put in place on their sets. Some of these include washing hands and sanitizing mandatory for everyone at entry, exit and during the shoot, each crew member to be provided with a triple-layer medical mask and gloves to be worn mandatorily during the session, avoiding handshakes, hugs, kisses and other physical forms of greeting, and calling artistes, crew and technicians in at least 45 minutes prior to the shoot to ensure thorough implementation of safety measures.

Some other measures include key crew members and artistes who cannot be easily replaced to be separated from the rest and provided private spaces, artiste staff not to be allowed in the studio except in an emergency, and designated seating areas for staff members and for drivers with chairs set six feet apart.

The IMPPA also provided the chief minister a list of projects that need just a few days of shooting to be completed, These include films like Khaali Peeli, Nikamma, Rashmi Rocket, Main Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bole Chudiyan and web-series like City Of Dreams, Darana Mana Hai and a few others.
