Former Mr India International Darasing Khurana launches mental health facility with affordable care

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death by suicide has suddenly made people aware of the grave ramifications of depression and mental health problems. Mental health has become the topic of the nation since last week. While it's a good thing that people are finally realizing the seriousness of depression, the treatment for such problems is still inaccessible for a large section of society.
Understanding this problem, former Mr India International, Darasing Khurana has decided to open Pause.Breathe.Talk Foundation, an affordable mental health service centre for anyone seeking help or guidance. Darasing's foundation has a team of approximately 15 experts, including therapists, clinical psychologists, and psychiatrists.
"Anyone who seeks help can get in touch with us via our social media and I’ll put them in touch with the right therapist," says Darasing. To make the treatment affordable for everyone, the foundation will only charge Rs250 per session.
Darasing also stressed on the need for more such centers at affordable prices in small towns. "While there are proper therapy facilities available in most major cities, there are hardly any in smaller towns. And the ones that are available are quite expensive, charging approximately Rs1500-1700 per session. That becomes too much for someone to afford if they require five-six sessions," he said.
