Ali Fazal is one of those rare Hindi film actors who has managed to make his way into the cinema of the West as well. After Victoria & Abdul (2017), the actor will now be seen in Kenneth Branagh’s Hollywood movie, Death On The Nile. Branagh, who is also one of the producers of the project, was full of praise for Fazal after working with him on the film as an actor and director.

“Ali was a joy to work with, an absolute joy. He’s a total pro. He’s a real details man. He was completely caught up in how the character looked, sounded and was able to be very precise, but also very playful. He could improvise when I asked him to improvise,” said Branagh in a statement to the agency Press Trust of India (PTI), which was sent to us by Fazal’s publicist.

Branagh, who is also part of cast in Christopher Nolan’s keenly-awaited Tenet, spoke about Fazal while promoting the film. The director-actor-producer added that Fazal is admired by the long cast of Death On The Nile which includes, Armie Hammer, Gal Gadot, Letitia Wright, Annette Bening, Rose Leslie, Russell Brand, and Emma Mackey.

“He has a strong sense of humour,” continued Branagh. “He is energetic and physically very adroit, so he was involved in both dancing and in action pieces. He was a fantastic ensemble player. He was incredibly popular with our cast, they loved him.”
