The first look teaser of Nandamuri Balakrishna‘s upcoming Telugu film with director Boyapati Srinu was unveiled on the occasion of the actor’s 60th birthday today.

The teaser offers a glimpse of Balakrishna’s character, sporting a dhoti-clad look and twirling his mustache. Boyapati is all set to showcase the actor in yet another powerful role.

Having delivered hits like Simha (2010) and Legend (2014), the hit combination of Balakrishna and Boyapati has come together for yet another commercial potboiler. Currently dubbed NBK 106, the film is produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under his production banner Dwaraka Creations.

Shriya Saran and Anjali have been signed on as the leading ladies, while S Thaman has been roped in to compose the music. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be officially announced.

If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, the film will also star Sanjay Dutt in the role of the antagonist. However, an official announcement is yet to be made. If Dutt comes on board, this will be his second Telugu project.

This project will feature Balakrishna in dual roles. Apparently, one of the characters is of an aghora and the makers are going to keep his look under wraps. The team plans to shoot a major schedule in Varanasi once the lockdown is lifted completely. Interestingly, the actor appeared in the dual roles of a politician and a cop in his last release, Ruler (2019).

Meanwhile, Boyapati has pinned his hopes on this project following the debacle of his last two releases – Jaya Janaki Nayaka (2017) and Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019) at the box office.
