A day after announcing that a few of his staff had tested positive for COVID-19, actor Aamir Khan has now shared that his mother, Zeenat Hussain, has tested negative.

He wrote, “I am most relieved to inform everyone that Ammi is Covid 19 negative. Thank you everyone for your prayers and good wishes.”

Khan's staff, who tested positive, are now under quarantine, and the rest of his household has also tested negative. His mother was the only remaining member left.

The actor, who had no release last year, is currently in production on Laal Singh Chaddha (2020), an official remake of the Oscar-winning film, Forrest Gump (1994). The film was due to be released on Christmas this year, but as the coronavirus pandemic has halted its shooting, it is unlikely to be completed by the end of the year.

Moreover, another big film, Kabir Khan’s 83 (2020) has announced that it will release in theatres on Christmas, if theatres reopen.
