The irrepressible Saif Ali Khan is a man without a care in the world in the new trailer for Nitin Kakkar's Jawaani Jaaneman (2020). Khan parties his nights away and spends his days in salons, it seems. How else does he retain his youthful looks?

Of course, we know that this will all change. Enter Alaya F, whom Khan's character first mistakes for a potential hook-up, until she drops the bomb that he could be her father. A paternity test confirms it and soon Khan and Alaya are joined by the third member of the trio, Tabu, a bohemian personality.

Khan, Tabu, and Alaya make for an unlikely family, but their characters are connected now by family ties. Alaya's character has reached out to Khan as she is pregnant herself, and he introduces her to his very shocked family, played by Farida Jalal, Mohit Chauhan and Kumud Mishra.

Kubbra Sait is also part of the film as Khan's friend and tries to reassure him that taking responsibility is a good thing, but he continues to fight it. While the film has its dramatic moments, the mood of the trailer is definitely lighter.

The final exchange between Khan and Tabu neatly sums up their characters. As Khan angrily questions her why she never informed him about their 21-year-old daughter, she dismisses him saying, "I hate phone calls."

Jawaani Jaaneman, directed by Nitin Kakkar, is due to be released on 31 January. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
