Salman Khan's Dabangg 3 had a dismal third Friday, collecting just Rs50 lakh nett at the domestic box office.

The good news continues to pour in for Raj Mehta's directorial debut, Good Newwz (2019), which raked in Rs8.25 crore nett approximately at the box office on its second Friday, according to figures from BoxOfficeIndia.com. The film's total earnings at the domestic box office, at Rs134 crore nett, are now ahead of Dabangg 3 (2019), which was released a week before.
Good Newwz is set to become another feather in the cap for star Akshay Kumar, after Kesari (2019), Mission Mangal (2019) and Housefull 4 (2019). Good Newwz has soared well past its Rs70 crore budget and is likely to be declared a super hit by next week if it continues this run.
The Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg 3 (2019) could muster only Rs50 lakh on its third Friday, a 60% drop in collections. The film's collection on Thursday was Rs1.25 crore nett. The film's first week collection was just Rs113 crore nett and rose to Rs133 crore nett in week 2.
However, with the arrival of the new year, and new films, its decline has been precipitous. Made on an estimated budget of Rs130 crore, the film's collections are a disappointment for the producers and Salman Khan, to say the least.
