Bhumi Pednekar joins Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan for special appearance

Actress Bhumi Pednekar is reuniting with the team of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017) for a special appearance in the follow-up film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020). Hitesh Kewalya, who wrote the first film, is making his directorial debut with the project.
The actress’s appearance was confirmed by the producers, Colour Yellow Productions. In a candid still from the set, Pednekar is seen laughing while seated atop a motorcycle.

Producer Aanand L Rai told the tabloid Mumbai Mirror, "Bhumi is a part of the Shubh Mangal Saavdhan family and we couldn't imagine making Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan without her. She has a special appearance in the narrative and we are extremely happy to have her on board."
Pednekar filmed her scenes in a two-day schedule last November in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. She had made her screen debut with Ayushmann Khurrana in Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015) and reunited with the star for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017) and Bala (2019).
The unconnected second film will feature Khurrana as Kartik Singh and Jitendra Kumar as Aman Tripathi in a gay love story. The comedy is due to be released on 21 February 2020, a week after Valentine’s Day.
