A young couple in a long relationship, Sahil (Malhar Thakar) and Harshita (Manasi Parekh Gohil), decide to end it, much to the dismay of Sahil's parents, played by Sachin Kedekar and Vandana Pathak.

Golkeri, directed by Viral Shah, finds the older couple trying to see if they can help to patch up his relationship or at least try to make Sahil see their point of view. Parekh Gohil, Khedekar and Pathak are acting in a Gujarati film for the first time. Parekh Gohil has also produced the film.

The trailer seems to have a good balance of comedy and drama, largely owing to veterans Khedekar and Pathak. However, the trailer and the subject are complete copies of the popular Marathi film Muramba (2017). Even the title refers to a sweet and sour pickle.

The makers do not appear to have credited Varun Narvekar, who wrote and directed Muramba, starring Amey Wagh and Mithila Palkar. Khedekar, who played the father in the Marathi film, is essentially reprising the character here, to the extent of repeating the dialogues.

Golkeri, produced by Soul Sutra, is due to be released on 28 February. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
