Bhaybheet trailer: Subodh Bhave is baffled by unexplained paranormal activities in his house

Though the film’s subject does raise your curiosity about the film, one can’t say the same about the trailer.

Marathi cinema rarely produces horror flicks and most of them are quite ordinary barring few exceptions like Lapachhapi (2017). Bhaybheet (2020), starring Subodh Bhave and Mrunal Jadhav, promises to fill up this void.

The trailer builds upon the information we got from the teaser. Subodh Bhave and his daughter Shreya (Mrunal Jadhav) live alone in a house. His wife is dead, but the trailer doesn’t specify how? Did she die by suicide or was it just an accident or something much more sinister happen in the house?

Soon, Shreya starts seeing a guy named Raghav who apparently lives with them, but Bhave can’t see him. Things get much darker as Bhave claims he saw a ritualistic child sacrifice in their backyard.

Though the film’s subject does raise your curiosity about the film, one can’t say the same about the trailer. The trailer contains the entire footage from the first teaser with additional scenes of ritualistic child sacrifice. Had they used different scenes the trailer would have been more impactful. Loud sound effects don’t help the matter.

Still, the subject is interesting and the believable acting by Subodh Bhave and Mrunal Jadhav raise your interest in the film.

Bhaybheet is directed by Deepak Naidu and scheduled to release on 28 February. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch the film.
