The picture features Shaikh, all decked out in traditional attire, standing in a kitchen. It seems to be the setting for the traditional 'meet' set up with the prospective groom.
In a statement to IANS, the director said, "Her character has a dual personality, for which we needed an actor who could play both vulnerable and mysterious, as well as assertive, with equal ease."
In another statement in December 2019, Sharma had said that the film is a comedy set in the 1990s, before the rise of mobile phones and the internet. The film is backed by Zee Studios, and is likely to release in the second half of the year.
Shaikh will also be seen alongside Rajkummar Rao in Anurag Basu's anthology, Ludo (2020). It is set to release on 24 April 2020.
