Baaghi 3 song 'Dus Bahaane 2.0': Vishal-Shekhar join the fun with this amped-up remix

Even Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani might have to finally put their rebellion on hold to make a remix. The duo have been credited as the key composers for the latest remake from the T-Series bandwagon, 'Dus Bahane 2.0', for Baaghi 3 (2020). Dadlani had earlier warned composers against remixing their compositions.
The song is an update of the original from Dus (2005), a very early composition by Vishal-Shekhar. With the voices of KK and Shaan retained, the composition has the new addition of Tulsi Kumar to the mix.
The visuals of the song are highly stylised, and build on the theme of international martial showcasing. With attack helicopters, F-16s acting as background for Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor's romance, the song truly feels like a showcase for a defence expo. The song might hold a lot of nostalgia, but Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff bring in equal style and flash to make this new version visually good.
The composition itself is much of the same old. The pace has been upped, with an increased focus on rhythm rather than the melody of the original. Where the original had the background a little low, the 2.0 version has amped up harmonics that add more muscle to its sound. Like Shroff, the song seems to be a beefed-up version.
The only new addition are the lyrics by Panchhi Jalonvi attributed to Shraddha Kapoor's character, bring a slight change to the male-dominated composition of the original. To say that the song is not entertaining would be false. It has enough verve and brings back a touch of nostalgia to great effect.
Baaghi 3, directed by Ahmed Khan, and features Shraddha Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh, Ankita Lokhande. The film is set to release in theatres on 6 March 2020.
